Preaching 'til people stopped and then engaging them. |
| We all agreed, Greg's another Scotty. | |
| "The Bible is a book of fairy tales!" This is also the OA where we met Otto. | |
| It looked like we'd get rained
out, but we
found a park ministry that was feeding a group of homeless people where
they could shelter in the gazebo at the park. Jim took the opportunity
to preach the gospel while we were there. |
|
| A
chance to preach to a few hundred people gathered on H Street. Four
different hecklers tried to hinder or stop the gospel from being
preached, but God's word went out. |
|
| This audio is from one of the
chances Jim had to open air preach on the U.C. Long Beach campus during
the Reignite!
GNN reunion. |
|
| Greg & Jim did a
tag-team. Jim gathered the people and Greg then delivered an honest and
heart-felt gospel message. |
|
| A young man (Randy)
came and
stood near Jim as he preached this open air in Old Sacramento. As Jim
shifted from sin to
talking about the suffering of Christ, Randy moved around to stand
in front of him. When the message got to repentance and faith, tears
came to Randy's eyes as he softly said "I've got to get saved. I've got
to get saved." |
|
| Open
air preaching at Riverside Park. A tombstone prop
helped swing the topic to death, sin and what happens after we
die. |
|
| An open air Jim did at Riverside Park during the Back to the 50s Classic Car show. | |
| There
were perhaps 50 people or more at the creek: either in the water, along
the bank, or sitting in the shade. It was a great spot to open air! The
water and landscape really helped Jim's voice carry, and he gave them
the
solid gospel. |
|
| One of the hecklers broke from
the line to get just inches from Jim's face. Jim was wondering if he
was going to knock him off the stool. Towards the end, he ripped up a
tract and in the Holy Spirit's compassion Jim told him "I plead for
you." |
|
| A Jehovah's Witness objected to
the open air message. He heckled Jim over the name of God and whether
Jesus died on a cross or stake. Jim said he'd invite him to step
forward and say anything he wanted when he was done, but afterward the
man didn't have much to say. |
|
| Apparently Jim is
working his way through the various religions and cults.
This time he had a Jewish heckler in line. |
|
| Richard and Jim preach open air at the Growers Market in downtown Grants Pass. | |
| Greg, Richard and Jim switch off for some more open air preaching at the Growers Market. | |
| Sunday morning at LEBC1, Jim preaches the gospel to folks sitting in the shade or cooling off in the creek at Lithia Park. | |
| Richard preached open air to a knot of people sitting on a green at one end of the park. | |
| Greg wrapped up the day at Lithia Park by giving the message of salvation to another group that had gathered at the creek. |
